Thou tree most fair and lovely!
I put up my Christmas tree yesterday with the help of my little elf Giovanni. Gincarlo was to busy watching Qubo and didn’t want to be bothered. I love Holidays. My top two holidays are Halloween and Christmas. Decorating my home is one activity during the Christmas season I enjoy. However, it can be somewhat difficult if you live in a small apartment like I do. Nonetheless that doesn't mean it's impossible.
Here are a few tips on how you can decorate your small apartment and save some money for gifts.
Look around
You probably have a ton of things laying around the house that would be happy to get some attention as Christmas decorations. You don’t have to spend a ton of money you already have decorations just look around.
1. Place a basket or bowl on your table or side tables filled with red and green apples, acorns or even holiday cookie cutters.
2. Toys! A wagon or sled can be placed at the front door filled with wrapped but empty gifts. Add some wooden or vintage toys and stuffed animals.
3. Take out those Christmas cards! Flaunt them in groups, varying the height.
4. Display a Christmas screen saver or Christmas family picture on your computer
5. Fill a clear bowl with Christmas balls/ornaments that you don't need for the tree .
Thrift Store
I love to bargain shop and if you know me you also know the thrift store is the first place I stop to search for decorations. Thrift stores are an absolute treasure chest when it comes to holiday décor. Some people get new things every yr. and get rid of their old stuff. That’s when I come in and swoop up all those unwanted decorations.
The Other little things
Lights! Put lights around your windows by wrapping the lights around your windows you will be taking up very little space.
Candles, Candles are inexpensive and you can get them just about anywhere. They don't take up a lot of room and they give your apartment a yummy smell.
Those are some little tips i follow to decorate my small place on a budget. I’m super excited to finish decorating the whole place. My Christimas tree is up and it only took 4hrs LOL ( i like taking my time). I really liked how it turned out. .
